The Connemara Pony Company is based in the heart of Connemara, in Clifden, County Galway. The Company sells Connemara Pony branded clothing and accessories for adults and children and branded rugs and other items for Connemara Ponies. The shop on Market Street in Clifden, which also sells tack and country clothing opened its doors in May 2007 and this website was launched in January 2008.

 

The Connemara Pony Ireland logo was designed and created by the proprietors of The Connemara Pony Company and was based on one of their own ponies. The Proprietors Padraic and Nicola Heanue have a Connemara Pony Stud just outside Clifden, Lough Fadda Stud. Their ponies are well known in the showing world and have won first prizes at all of the major Connemara Pony Shows in Ireland including Clifden and the Dublin Horse Show.

 

The Connemara Pony is Irelands native pony breed and has developed over the years into the all round family pony that we now know and love, capable of excelling in any equestrian sphere. There are Connemara Pony Societies in countries throughout Europe and beyond.
